Students Benefit because:

The student often has little exposure to real-world work environments, and often responds positively to the direct interaction he or she experiences on the JOB SHADOW.

Often there is a gap between a student’s perception of a career and the daily realities of these livelihoods;

The JOB SHADOW experience can remove this perception and replace it with a more realistic idea of the student’s Career Pathway.
This can be an invaluable asset when it comes time for the student’s transition into the working world.

Since 2003, ADS has ‘shadowed’ with employers such as:
WNDU Channel 16, The University of Notre Dame, Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI Regional Office, Comcast Digital Cable, Ivy Tech Visual Communications Department, Lakeland Hospital, South Bend Civic Theater, Eau Claire Elementary School, Woodwind & Brasswind, Indiana University, Amtrak, and many more.
